“My wedding was truly magical thanks to Elizabeth. She helped keep me on track and offered me so much advice and suggestions that I truly valued. I felt like I didn’t need to worry about anything the day of due to Elizabeth and her assistant, they were wonderful. I also can’t leave enough good comments about her assistant, she was so sweet and helpful the day of. I also had an issue with a photographer who ended up being a scam artist. Elizabeth researched my vendors and notified me of the negative reviews for the initial photographer we hired. Thanks to her, I was able to hire a truly awesome photographer that she suggested and I can’t wait to get the photos back! Elizabeth truly had my back the whole time leading up to the wedding and I am so thankful for her. Hiring Elizabeth was the best choice I could have made for my wedding day!”

Warning: long, honest, raw post below. Today we stop to reflect on 2019 and our word from this year : Compassion. This was an important one for us as we chose to be compassionate towards ourselves in hard times and towards others regardless of circumstance. 2019 was singularly the best and hardest year of our journey. In an effort to be fully transparent with our amazing support network, we are giving the full recap here. In 2019, we had the biggest year in our business yet. We had over 40 amazing couples allow us to help them with their big day and we balanced running and event venue in the same season. While this Magic was happening, a marriage also ended. This is the year I allowed myself to ask for what I needed, the end to a relationship that was not and had not been working. This was hard. The hardest thing by far I’ve ever done. And it was also the best. The first time I’d really ever put myself and my needs first. Despite the fear of judgement, shame, and all the ugly feelings that came. And it was long, and hard, and eventually, amazing. I am now living in a new city, with my best friend of 8 years, and happy to finally share that we are getting married next year. Yes, that’s a lot to swallow in one year. But I had known the end was coming for a long time, and when you’ve already seen 8 years, why wait for happiness? I’m here to say that my 2020 word is TRUST. Because I finally trust myself, what I know I want and need, and I’m slowly learning to trust others, with the amazing guidance of the most amazing support network I could have ever asked for. This year, I will refuse to make life decisions based on what others think is right. I will make decisions on what I know, what brings happiness, and what serves me. That means taking on less weddings to give my best self to each couple, making a strong foundation in this new relationship a priority, and allowing the self care I so desperately need. So if you made it to the end of this long post, thank you! Thank you for allowing me this, for being there in the midst of change, for not judging the messy journey, and for everything else you are to me ❤️. Here is to an AMAZING new year for us all.
