Winter Styled Shoot

This January I put together a styled shoot which took place at Carlee Farm in Oxford, NC. I love this venue because not only is there a beautiful newly built barn but they have an alcove, woods and a lake. I found it impossible to choose only one part of the venue to shoot on so I created two separate shoots. The themes were then one warm winter shoot with lots of reds and jewel tones and one cold winter shoot with frosted flowers and ice like accent colors. The result? Perfection.

The day was not without incident considering low temperatures and early rain but that didn’t stop me or the wonderful group of vendors I was fortunate enough to work with from making the best of things just as we would on any given wedding day.

I want to thank all of the vendors who came out! Our two lead photographers were Amy Wilkins with AG1 Photography and Pat Youngdahl with Patrick Youngdahl Photography LLC. These two were troopers and shot everything with a smile. We also had a wonderful videographer, Sarah Faucette with Gold + Sage, who stepped in and took some photos for us as well. Our stunning model couples were Callie Hayes/Chris Richards and Katelyn Witt/Corey Foos. Our flowers were fabric and created by Alexis Kremer (they look so real!) and our model’s hair and makeup was done by Kathy Chandler with A Shear Perfection Salon. The white dress is the Roslyn gown from designer Edith-Elan based in Chicago and the blue dress is the Farrah gown by New York designer Jacalyn Jordan! Our cake was made by Cheslea Dickerson (Cake by Chelsea) and we event had a photo booth set up by Triple “T” Entertainment!

These are some of the photos shot by Patrick Youngdahl. His portrait work is beautiful and his black and white edits are some of the best I’ve seen!

Patrick was unable to stay for part of the second half of the shoot because of scheduling issues from the snow storm the weekend before, which caused issues for several vendors. We were so grateful for the time he was able to be with us!
