As part of the wedding planning job, I meet with and get to know a variety of local vendors that my brides will be working with and that I will recommend in the future. This is an incredible part of the job as it allows me to meet other creatives and get to see exactly what they do and the kind of vendors they are. January’s styled shoot for example brings me together with two local photographers, a new venue, a baker, photo booth, hair stylist, and florist. These relationships are important as the kinds of vendors I refer my brides to need to be high quality and have a warm and friendly attitude.
Today I was fortunate to meet a new vendor who was all of those things and more! Mondrick and Jennifer King run “Mr. and That Dang Woman Catering” which specializes in fresh BBQ which comes from slow cooking their locally raised, organic hogs. The process has been handed down through generations and is a family effort which is evident in all the care they put into making the food. They are kind-hearted and genuine people who live by the motto “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” and therefore go above and beyond for their clients which makes them exactly the kind of vendors we want to work with! Here are some pictures from the day including the amazing food, bridal couple and amazing cooks themselves!
